Fall 2025 Rockwall Acting A B Class Calendar

Classes follow the Rockwall Studio Schedule above. Tuition is spread evenly each month but is based on a semester schedule which accounts for vacation and holidays as depicted on the schedule above. Rockwall Acting does not refund for missed classes. Should the studio need to cancel a class, it will first utilize the make up weeks or may otherwise add classes as necessary.. Private lessons may be rescheduled with more than a day of advanced notice.

Monday:

1:00 – 1:55 – Musical Theater (Tiffany)

Ages 5-18

This class will start with theater basics. They will work skills of acting, song, and dance/choreography to get kids feeling confident and work to become audition ready. In the second semester, students will take what they have learned and produce an act from a musical. This class is great for beginners as well as advanced students and can be taught in a Montessori fashion benefitting from a mixed aged classroom with all levels of experience! There will be a show off during class time at the end of fall semester (December) and the end of the season (May). 

Cost $80/month

5:00 – 5:55 – Acting Through Song (Beth)

Ages 10-18 (or with instructor approval)

Are you ready to take your stage performances to the next level or step on stage and give the best audition possible? If so, this class is for you. This class focuses on the art of storytelling and character development through musical performance. It’s designed for singers and actors to understand how to embody a character while singing and to elevate their performances by adding acting choices and emotional depth to their vocal interpretations. It is recommended that students be experienced vocalists or be in private voice lessons prior to (or concurrently) enrolling in this class. (Due to the individual attention required for the success of students in this class, it is limited enrollment and thus reflects a slightly higher price. There will be a show off during class time at the end of fall semester (December) and the end of the season (May).

6:00 – 6:55 – Elementary Age Improv (John)

Ages 8-11

This class will introduce you to the fundamentals of improvisational theater. Through fun games and exercises, students will learn to think on their feet, listen effectively, build on others’ ideas, and perform spontaneously. Whether you’re looking to boost your confidence, enhance your communication skills, or simply have a good time, this improv class offers a safe and supportive environment to explore a child’s creativity. It is appropriate for all skill levels. There will be a show off during class time at the end of fall semester (December) and the end of the season (May). 

Cost $90/month

7:00 – 7:30 – Off Script Improv Performance Group (John)

Ages 8-18

Want to take your improv training one step further? Off Script is an audition (or teacher recommendation) performance group for students ages 8-18 that will work on advanced improv games and skits and perform in local improv shows. Must be currently registered in an  Improv class to participate in the performance group. Performance calendar to be provided, but students will have an opportunity to perform at least 4 times throughout the year.Cost $75/month (can attend either or both group block sessions)

Tuesday:

5:00 – 5:55 – Musical Theater (Tatum)

Ages 9-12

This class will focus on all things theater. They will work skills of acting, song, and dance/choreography to get kids feeling confident and work to become audition ready. Students will work on scenes from different musical theater shows throughout the year ending with an understanding of theater terminology, dance choreography terms, and a songbook to ace any audition! There will be a show off during class time at the end of fall semester (December) and the end of the season (May). 

Cost $90/month

6:00 – 6:55 – Middle School Acting (Tiffany)

Ages 11-14

This class is meant for students currently in middle school and hoping to work on skills for stage productions or advanced theater classes. We will learn the practical and creative aspects of drama, emphasizing character development, scene study, and performance skills. Students will explore acting techniques, learn to analyze scripts, and engage in exercises to build confidence and communication skills. There will be a show off during class time at the end of fall semester (December) and the end of the season (May). 

Cost $90/month

7:00 – 7:55 – Tap Choreography (Tiffany)

Have you ever noticed how many musicals include a tap number? Channel your inner Fred Astaire or Sutton Foster and see how far a tap class can take your stage skills! Tap can be a valuable component of musical theater training, helping dancers develop their rhythmic and musical skills. The class focuses on developing coordination, musicality, and technical skills, while exploring different tap styles like Broadway and Rhythm tap. This class is appropriate for all levels of tap dancing and can be taught in the Montessori model using a mixed age classroom with various levels of experience. Tap Shoes will be required for participants. There will be a show off during class time at the end of fall semester (December) and the end of the season (May).

8:00 – 8:55 – Advanced Choreography (Tiffany)

Ages 13-18 (or with instructor approval)

Students must have taken at least two years of Dance Choreography and receive a teacher’s recommendation for this class. Dancers will now go in depth with lyrical, ballet & jazz technique, addressing college and Broadway audition skills, individual creativity through dance improv, applying acting skills to tell the story through dance, explore “Make it Work” situations, and push your “full out” to new levels! There will be a show off during class time at the end of fall semester (December) and the end of the season (May). 

Cost $90/month

Wednesday:

5:30 – 6:25 – Middle School Improv (John)

Ages 11-14

This class will focus on the fundamentals of improvisational theater. Ages 10-18

This class  teaches students the techniques and skills necessary to perform effectively on screen, including camera presence, scene analysis, and character development. These classes incorporate hands-on exercises like scene work, audition techniques, and improvisational games. The curriculum  also covers the business side of acting, such as auditioning, self-promotion, and industry standards, set etiquette, and basic film terminology. Students will leave class with a demo reel. There will be a show off during class time at the end of fall semester (December) and the end of the season (May).

Thursday:

7:00 – 7:55 – Choreography (Tiffany)

Ages 8-18

This class is for actors to experience two styles of basic dance in one class (ballet and jazz, alternating every two weeks), allowing each student to get a solid foundation of the technique, the discipline, and the variations of Broadway styles. It will help students become comfortable with movement on stage and the terminology of stage choreography. There will be a show off during class time at the end of fall semester (December) and the end of the season (May).

8:00 – 8:55 – High School Acting (Tatum)

Ages 14-18

Get the skills to succeed in this business – Audition Materials, Resumés, and exploration of techniques such as method acting and Meisner technique. This advanced class will explore advanced scene work, prepare for high school/professional/college monologue auditions (classical and contemporary material) and explore directing as they prepare for their student-directed showcase at the end of the year. There will be a show off during class time at the end of fall semester (December) and the end of the season (May).
