At Rockwall Acting, we are beyond thrilled to announce that sign-ups for our summer musical, The Sound of Music Youth Edition, are officially LIVE!
This isn't just another summer activity; it’s a chance for your child to step into one of the most beloved stories of all time. Whether your performer is a seasoned pro or just starting to find their voice, this production is the perfect place to grow, learn, and make lifelong memories.
Why Join the Sound of Music Youth Edition?
Performing in a professional-level youth production is a game-changer. Our students don’t just learn lines; they learn the discipline of the craft, the joy of teamwork, and the incredible benefits of performing arts like increased confidence and public speaking skills. We are inviting all kids and teens, ages 5 to 18, to get involved. From the youngest Gretl to the most commanding Captain von Trapp, there is a place for everyone in this cast.
The Details: Auditions and Deadlines
We know summer schedules can get a little crazy, which is why we’ve made the audition process as easy as possible. We are accepting video auditions, which means you can record from the comfort of your living room!
The deadline to submit your audition is June 1st.

A Professional Stage Experience
One of the most exciting parts of this production is our venue. We are taking the show on the road to the Terry Martin Mainstage at The Addison Performing Arts Centre. Performing in a professional space gives our students a taste of the "real world" of theater, complete with professional lighting and sound. It’s an experience that truly sets Rockwall Acting apart from your average things for kids in Rockwall.
