This summer, Rockwall Acting is inviting young performers to click their heels together and join us for our Wizard of Oz Summer Camp.
As part 7 of our Summer 2026 Spotlight Series, we are diving into one of the most beloved stories of all time. Whether your child is an aspiring Dorothy, a courageous Lion, or a clever Scarecrow, our camp is the ultimate destination for musical theater and fun in Rockwall, TX.
A Journey Down the Yellow Brick Road
Our Wizard of Oz camp isn't just about putting on a costume; it’s about a full theatrical immersion. Students will explore iconic songs that have defined generations of theater, including:
- "Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead" – A high-energy ensemble number perfect for learning choreography.
- "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" – A classic travel song that helps younger campers master rhythm and movement.
- "Over the Rainbow" – A beautiful opportunity for vocal coaching and emotional expression.
Our acting classes are led by industry professionals who bring real-world experience to every rehearsal. We focus on character development, helping kids understand the "why" behind the Scarecrow’s journey for a brain or the Tin Man’s search for a heart.
